Commodities PM Engagement Analyst
A large multimanager hedge fund with a high performing Commodities Trading business is seeking a Portfolio Management Analyst to focus on optimizing actionable insights to drive business growth. The hire will focus on portfolio optimization and risk, while delivering analytic to enhance trading returns. The ideal candidate will work directly with investment teams and commodities portfolio researcher to improve investment processes, develop quant models for portfolio construction and risk. The overall deliverable for this seat is to assist the business in scaling Commodities trading
Responsibilities:
- Work w/ Investment Teams/Portfolio Managers to analyze trade fundamentals and trade risk
- Ad-hoc quant development work focused on improving optimization
- Improve portfolio risk interpretation, communicating findings to better enhance their framework and profitability as a business
Qualifications:
- 2+ years quant, risk, or strategist experience from a hedge fund, energy trading firm, or bank focused on at least one commodity sector
- Product coverage (can be any of these): power, gas, nat gas, oil, crude, ags, metals
- Knowledge of risk measures and analytics
- Good Python/quant skills
- Academic background: advanced degree in STEM related discipline
- Strong communication skill - you will be working in the front office
