Position Summary

The Regional Sales Leader will be responsible for leading and growing the West Region sales organization, driving new business production, developing strategic market plans, and building a high-performing sales culture. This individual will have full accountability for regional revenue performance, sales strategy execution, market expansion, and producer development.

The ideal candidate is a highly successful employee benefits sales leader with experience managing large territories, developing producers, and consistently delivering strong organic growth results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall sales strategy and revenue growth initiatives across the West Region.
  • Manage and develop a team of producers and sales professionals while fostering a culture of accountability and performance.
  • Drive consistent new business production and regional organic growth.
  • Establish regional sales goals, KPIs, and performance metrics.
  • Partner with executive leadership to identify expansion opportunities, target markets, and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Coach producers through prospecting, pipeline management, sales presentations, and closing strategies.
  • Develop relationships with key clients, prospects, carrier partners, consultants, and centers of influence.
  • Collaborate with operations, client service, consulting, and marketing teams to ensure a best-in-class client experience.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive intelligence, and sales performance data to inform regional strategy.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and retention efforts for top sales talent throughout the region.
  • Participate in industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings to elevate market presence.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of employee benefits sales experience within a brokerage, consulting firm, carrier, or related organization.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing producers, sales teams, or regional business development efforts.
  • Demonstrated success driving meaningful revenue growth and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of employee benefits, healthcare funding arrangements, wellness solutions, and broader workforce strategies.
  • Experience building and executing strategic sales plans across multiple markets.
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and executive-level decision makers.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Active Life & Health License preferred.

Compensation

Base Salary: $200,000-$300,000+ depending on experience

Incentive Compensation: Significant performance-based bonus and long-term incentive opportunity tied to regional growth and business results.
