VP - C++ eRates Quant Developer
A leading electronic rates trading desk in London is hiring a VP-level C++ strats developer to sit on the desk and write the trading and pricing logic behind a systematic market-making business. This is front-office, close to the traders, your code trades.
It's not a platform, infrastructure, market-data or pure-research seat. You write the strategies that make markets.
What you'll be doing
- Writing the core trading, pricing and market-making strategy logic in modern C++ (17/20/23)
- Building greenfield components while evolving a live production platform, the coverage is expanding
- Working directly with traders, turning strategy ideas into production code that trades
- Owning performance across the full trading path, across SOFR, EURIBOR and SONIA futures, EGBs and US Treasuries
What you'll bring
- Strong, hands-on modern C++ in a live production trading environment
- You've written trading, pricing or execution logic yourself, close to a desk, not just built the platform around it
- A genuine feel for markets and the business, not only the technology
- Around 3+ years, VP-calibre
Asset class is open. Rates or fixed income is ideal, but strong strat developers from FX or electronic equities are just as welcome, the mindset is what transfers.

- Rates, fixed income or futures electronic trading
- Systematic market-making or quoting experience
- Greenfield build experience
The process is short and senior: a first conversation with the hiring manager, then one further stage. No drawn-out take-home tests.
Up to £320,000 total compensation.
