Senior Software Engineer (C#/.NET)
A hedge fund in the Southeast U.S. is looking to hire a .NET developer to join the technology team and support the front office and revenue generating teams across their business. This firm is one of the largest and most successful in their region, focused on fixed-income investments in mortgage and consumer credit, including whole loans, asset-backed securities, mortgage servicing rights, and other credit related assets. This role is critical to the company, as they will build, analyze, implement, deliver, and support the applications that will enhance the company's trading and research functions.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5+ years of professional experience in building scalable and high-performance applications, preferably within the financial services industry. They will need to display strong use with C# and .NET.
Responsibilities:
- Architect, design, and develop front office applications using modern software frameworks, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while following best practices for software development, including version control, testing, and continuous integration.
- Analyze current workflows, identify inefficiencies, and develop solutions that streamline and optimize business processes.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and methodologies, as well as great communication and problem-solving skills
Qualifications:
- 5 + years of industry experience
- Strong use of C# and .NET
- Proficiency in Angular
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field
- Knowledge of financial markets, trading systems, and front office operations
