Senior Product Manager - Data Platforms
Summary
Selby Jennings is partnering with a leading invesment manager building a next-generation enterprise data ecosystem to support advanced analytics, AI, machine learning, and data-driven business operations. As part of a newly established data platform organization, this role will be instrumental in defining and delivering scalable cloud-based data products that enable self-service access, seamless integration, and enterprise-wide data capabilities.

What You'll Do
- Own the vision, strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle of enterprise data platform products.
- Partner with data engineers, architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to identify opportunities and define product requirements.
- Lead product discovery, experimentation, and MVP development to deliver innovative data platform capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to build scalable solutions leveraging technologies such as AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, and modern data integration frameworks.
- Prioritize product roadmaps and backlogs based on business value, technical feasibility, and user feedback.
- Define KPIs, measure product performance, and drive continuous improvement through data-driven decision making.
- Support product adoption through enablement, training, and go-to-market initiatives.
- Help shape a growing product management function by mentoring team members and establishing best practices.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of product management, platform product, or related experience.
- Proven experience owning products through the full lifecycle, from strategy and ideation through launch and ongoing optimization.
- Strong understanding of modern data architecture, data engineering, and cloud data platforms.
- Experience working with technologies such as AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, Kafka/Confluent, Flink, or similar platforms.
- Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and communicate effectively with technical and executive stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Preferred Background
- Experience building enterprise data platforms, analytics infrastructure, or AI/ML enablement capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, metadata management, data quality, governance, integration, and platform security.
- Demonstrated success delivering products in complex, fast-paced enterprise environments.
