Senior Pricing Actuary
Selby Jennings have partnered with a top Lloyd's syndicate seeking a Senior Pricing Actuary to lead its Property and Political Violence portfolio. This London-based role offers the opportunity to take ownership of two high-profile classes, driving pricing strategy and portfolio performance across both lines.
The successful candidate will lead pricing for Property and PV, with one direct report, and will be responsible for developing, calibrating, and redeveloping pricing models as needed. They will set pricing parameters and contribute to the business planning process, while also performing account and case-level pricing. The PV component of the role involves significant portfolio review and management, with a focus on identifying trends and driving profitability.
This is a high-impact role offering direct access to underwriting and senior leadership, with the opportunity to influence real-time decisions and contribute to longer-term strategic projects. Role Requirements:
- Fully Qualified Actuary (FIA or equivalent).
- Prior experience in Property or Political Violence pricing is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong technical pricing skills and experience developing and calibrating pricing models.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with a focus on translating complex analysis into actionable insights.
- A commercial mindset and sound judgment in making decisions amid ambiguity.
- Experience with hx Renew and other modern pricing platforms preferred.
