Senior Platform Engineer
Our client is a leading prime brokerage specialising in digital and traditional assets and are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer. The Senior Platform Engineer would help build and operate the infrastructure that underpins their critical systems which handle a high volume of transactions. This role requires modern cloud native systems designed for performance, reliability and security.
Responsibilities
- Build and operate cloud infrastructure using modern Infrastructure as Code tools
- Improve deployment speed and safety through robust CI/CD pipelines
- Own the observability, availability, and incident response across critical systems
- Run and optimise databases, caches, and event driven platforms in production
- Define reliability standards (SLOs, SLIs) and drive continuous improvement
- Partner closely with engineers to improve tooling, workflows, and operational efficiency
Present skillset required
- Strong experince with AWS including EC2, ECS, RDS
- Proven background in Terraform and/or AWS CDK
- Strong Python skills for automation and tooling
- Experience with distributed systems, Kafka, and cloud native architectures
- Background in financial services or other high performance environments is a plus
