Senior Manager - Equity Operations - India Based

We are hiring a Senior Manager - Operations to join the India team of a leading global asset management firm. This role will be responsible for overseeing operational processes across Equities, Derivatives, Fixed Income, Credit (FICC), and Rates, with a strong emphasis on middle office functions and subject matter expertise (SME) in global markets.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end trade lifecycle support for Equities, Listed & OTC Derivatives, Fixed Income, Credit, and Rates products.
  • Act as a SME for operational processes, controls, and regulatory requirements across asset classes.
  • Oversee middle office functions including trade capture, P&L validation, risk reporting, and exception management.
  • Partner with global stakeholders including Front Office, Risk, Compliance, Technology, and Finance to ensure timely and accurate trade support.
  • Lead operational risk management initiatives, ensuring robust controls and adherence to global standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation, process optimization, and change management.
  • Support new product onboarding, market expansions, and regulatory change programs.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in global markets operations, with strong exposure to Equities, Derivatives, and FICC.
  • Proven experience in middle office operations within an asset management or investment banking environment.
  • Strong understanding of trade lifecycle systems (e.g., Bloomberg, Calypso, MarkitWire, Murex, Aladdin).
  • Familiarity with global regulatory frameworks (e.g., MiFID II, EMIR, SEBI, Dodd-Frank).
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Experience working in a global delivery model with cross-border teams is a plus.
