About the Role
Our client, a leading international bank is seeking a Senior Islamic Finance Structurer with strong expertise in FX and Rates products. This is a high-impact role within the bank's Islamic Finance division, responsible for designing and delivering Sharia-compliant solutions that meet the evolving needs of institutional and corporate clients across global markets.
You will work closely with sales, trading, and risk teams to create innovative structures that align with both client objectives and regulatory requirements, while ensuring adherence to Sharia principles. This position offers significant exposure to complex cross-border transactions, product innovation, and strategic franchise development.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Structuring: Design and implement Islamic finance solutions across FX and Rates, including hedging strategies, liquidity management, and investment products.
- Client Advisory: Partner with relationship managers and sales teams to deliver tailored solutions for corporates, financial institutions, and sovereign clients.
- Sharia Compliance: Ensure all structures meet Sharia standards, working closely with internal Sharia boards and external scholars where required.
- Innovation & Development: Drive new product initiatives to expand the Islamic finance offering, leveraging market trends and client feedback.
- Risk & Governance: Maintain robust risk management practices and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Market Engagement: Represent the bank in industry forums and contribute to thought leadership in Islamic finance.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 5-8 years in Islamic finance structuring within a global banking environment, with a strong focus on FX and Rates.
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of FX and Rates products, derivatives, and hedging strategies, combined with knowledge of Sharia principles.
- Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative and structuring capabilities, with proficiency in pricing models and risk assessment.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills to engage with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Education: Degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; professional qualifications (CFA, ACI, or Islamic Finance certifications) are a plus.
- Languages: English required; Arabic or other regional languages advantageous.
