Senior Fixed Income Credit Analyst
📍 Lincoln, RI (Hybrid)
A leading U.S. insurance investment team is seeking an experienced Senior Fixed Income Credit Analyst to help manage and grow a high‑quality general account portfolio. This role focuses on fundamental credit research, risk evaluation, and generating well‑supported investment recommendations across investment‑grade public and private fixed income.
What You'll Do
- Perform deep fundamental credit analysis on IG issuers and securities
- Evaluate financials, management quality, business models, and sector trends
- Monitor macro/interest rate developments to inform views
- Identify relative value opportunities across sectors and capital structures
- Present buy/hold/sell recommendations to portfolio managers
- Execute and monitor trades within guidelines
- Track existing holdings for credit changes, covenants, and rating actions
- Ensure alignment with NAIC, statutory accounting, RBC rules, and ALM needs
- Contribute to sector outlooks and research process improvements
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's in Finance, Econ, Accounting, or related field (MBA/CFA preferred)
- 7-10+ years of credit research experience (insurance, AM, rating agencies, or sell‑side)
- Strong understanding of insurance investment constraints and regulatory frameworks
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills
- Highly organized; able to manage multiple priorities
- Advanced Excel & Bloomberg; familiarity with BondEdge, FactSet, or similar analytics
- Experience with investment accounting systems (e.g., Clearwater)
Work Model
- 38-hour workweek, Mon-Fri
- Hybrid after training: 3 days in Lincoln, RI office / 2 remote
