We're partnering with a leading quantitative investment firm seeking a Senior C++ Engineer to help build the next generation of its research simulation and portfolio construction platform.
This team owns the infrastructure that powers large-scale quantitative research across the business, tackling complex challenges in distributed computing, performance engineering, and high-throughput data processing.
What You'll Work On
- Large-scale simulation and backtesting infrastructure
- High-performance distributed systems
- Concurrency, memory management, and systems optimisation
- Research tooling used by quantitative researchers and portfolio managers
- Scaling platforms that process vast amounts of data and computation
What They're Looking For
- Strong modern C++ development experience on Linux
- Background in low-level systems engineering, performance optimisation, or distributed platforms
- Experience with concurrency, multithreading, and scalable architectures
- Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures
- Exposure to ARM, CPU architecture, kernel-level optimisation, performance profiling, or hardware-aware software development is highly desirable
- Excellent academic background, ideally in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related STEM discipline
