A respected national A+ rated insurance carrier is seeking a Senior Casualty Underwriter to join its casualty underwriting team. This role offers the flexibility of remote work with just one day per week in-office, providing the best of both worlds: autonomy and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite and manage a portfolio of casualty accounts, ensuring alignment with underwriting guidelines and profitability goals.
- Collaborate with brokers and internal teams to develop customized coverage solutions.
- Assess risk exposures, pricing adequacy, and loss trends to support sound underwriting decisions.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives, including product development and process enhancements.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior underwriters.
Qualifications
- 3-10 years of commercial underwriting experience, with a focus on casualty lines.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with occasional in-office collaboration.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; industry designations (e.g., CPCU, ARM) are a plus.
