Overview
We are working with a leading middle-market private investment firm with a multi-billion-dollar AUM platform investing across private equity, credit, and real estate. The firm has built a strong track record partnering with management teams to drive growth and operational improvement across its portfolio.
The Real Estate team focuses on opportunistic investments across real assets, infrastructure, and asset-heavy platforms, including industrial, multifamily, and infrastructure-linked assets. The team is actively deploying capital from a recently raised fund and is expected to launch a dedicated strategy in the near term. This is a Senior Associate opportunity to join a growing platform with immediate deal flow, offering the ability to invest across both real estate and infrastructure buyouts within a flexible mandate.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform due diligence of potential real asset and infrastructure opportunities and assist with day-to-day monitoring and reporting of the investment portfolio
- Opportunities include investments in logistics, supply chain, infrastructure and various other special situations
- Communicate analysis of investment opportunities, results, and recommendations with the relevant senior staff via verbal and written reports and presentations, including preparing qualitative and quantitative reports, memoranda, and spreadsheets
- Run detailed financial models, review industry and submarket performance, conduct market diligence calls, run IRR scenarios, and model promote waterfall returns
- Assist in quarterly valuation for the existing portfolio
- Assist in detailed credit analyses of existing and prospective tenants across a broad range of industries
- Expect to have working knowledge of both debt and equity investments
- Senior Associate will work with limited supervision, with moderate to considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. This position reports to the Managing Director of Real Estate
Qualifications
- 4-6 years of experience, including:
- 2 years of investment banking (real asset and/or infrastructure experience), plus
- 2+ years in private equity, real estate private equity, acquisition experience, or infrastructure investing
- Strong work ethic
- Analytical rigor and financial modeling skills
- Strategic thinking and clear communication
- High GPA and Bachelor's degree from a leading college/university
- Strong SAT/ACT scores (1350+ or 30+) and professional references
- Self-starter who can work well in a small, growing team and highly entrepreneurial environment
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; this position is not eligble for visa sponsorship
- Passion for Investing: A genuine interest in real asset investing is required
- Professional maturity and exceptional integrity
- High attention to detail; Ability to communicate relevant deal risks & mitigants
