A leading biopharmaceutical company specializing in inhaled therapeutics for endocrine and rare lung diseases is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager. This role is essential to supporting financial operations, maintaining robust internal controls, and ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory standards. Key responsibilities include managing monthly and quarterly close processes, overseeing operational accounting functions such as general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, debt, leases, and investments, and ensuring SOX 404 compliance. The position supervises a team of four and works closely with auditors, legal teams, and internal stakeholders to maintain accurate reporting and strong financial governance. The ideal candidate brings expertise in process improvement, ERP implementation, and policy development, with a strong focus on accuracy, transparency, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred
- 7+ years of experience, ideally with public accounting and SOX compliance
- Proven leadership and team development skills
- Strong communication and analytical abilities
- Life sciences or biotech experience a plus
