We are working with a leading high-frequency trading firm based in Amsterdam, known for its strong engineering culture, flat structure, and highly collaborative environment. The firm operates across global markets with a focus on low-latency trading strategies and cutting-edge research.
They are looking for a Quant Trader / Developer to join a high-performing team, working at the intersection of quantitative research, trading, and software engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize systematic trading strategies across liquid markets
- Design and implement low-latency trading systems and infrastructure
- Work closely with traders and researchers to translate models into production
- Analyse large datasets to identify trading opportunities and improve performance
- Continuously monitor and enhance execution efficiency and risk management
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and performance optimisation
- Background in quantitative fields (Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, etc.)
- Experience or strong interest in financial markets / trading
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-impact environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with low-latency systems or high-performance computing
- Knowledge of market microstructure
- Previous exposure to HFT, market making, or proprietary trading
