Private Equity Analyst
A Charlotte-based private equity firm is seeking an Investment Analyst to join its growing investment team. The firm focuses on investing in high-growth consumer businesses across a variety of sectors, partnering closely with founders and management teams to drive strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and long-term value creation.
This role offers the opportunity to work across all phases of the investment lifecycle, including financial modeling, due diligence, industry research, transaction execution, and portfolio company monitoring. The Investment Analyst will collaborate closely with senior investment professionals in a lean, entrepreneurial environment and gain meaningful responsibility and exposure from day one.
Investment Analyst Qualifications
- 1-3 years of investment banking, valuation, transaction advisory, or related experience.
- Strong financial modeling, accounting, valuation, and analytical capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- High attention to detail and strong work ethic.
- Demonstrated interest in private equity and investing.
Investment Analyst Responsibilities
- Evaluate new investment opportunities through industry research, market analysis, and detailed financial modeling.
- Build and maintain operating models, valuation analyses, and investment committee materials.
- Support due diligence efforts by coordinating with management teams, lenders, and third-party advisors.
- Assist with transaction execution, including acquisitions, recapitalizations, and exit processes.
- Monitor portfolio company performance and support value creation initiatives.
- Conduct company and industry research to identify attractive investment opportunities.
- Work closely with senior investment professionals across all aspects of the investment process.
