Portfolio Management Actuary
Selby Jennings have partnered with a highly-specialised and rapidly growing insurance organisation, currently seeking to add a Portfolio Management Actuary to join their expanding team.
This newly created role offers the opportunity to lead a small team and collaborate across underwriting, actuarial, pricing, and operations to drive portfolio performance and enhance decision-making. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping portfolio strategies, improving analytical tools, and delivering insights that influence underwriting outcomes.
This will involve developing portfolio frameworks, enhancing monitoring tools, and delivering performance insights. The role will also collaborate across internal functions to optimise underwriting outcomes, manage risk, and lead a small team to foster a data-driven, collaborative, and efficient working environment.
Role Requirements:
- FIA desirable but not required.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in actuarial pricing or portfolio management.
- Strong technical skills in Python or R, and experience with data visualisation tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or QlikSense.
- Proven ability to influence underwriting decisions through data storytelling and strategic insight.
- Prior experience managing and developing junior team members is beneficial.
