We are representing a leading global market‑making firm with a long‑established and highly stable options business, seeking to add a Macro Research Analyst to its semi‑systematic options group in NYC.
This is a front‑office research role, fully embedded on the trading desk, where macro fundamental insights directly influence single‑stock and index options trading.
The Role
- Conduct macro‑focused fundamental research to inform and refine active options trading strategies
- Work closely with options traders to improve existing trade ideas and originate new ones over time
- Contribute to a fast‑paced trading environment with high investment turnover
- Opportunity to progressively take on more risk and develop direct trading input as the business continues to scale
- Integrated desk model with clear visibility into P&L drivers and market impact

Candidate Profile
- 3-5 years of experience in macro research, economics, or related fundamental research roles
- Strong grounding in macro fundamentals combined with genuine trading intuition
- Options theory knowledge is advantageous but not required
- Comfort operating in a fast‑decision, trading‑oriented environment
- Technical skills such as Python, statistical analysis, or quantitative research tools are highly beneficial
- Academic background from a top‑20 US university or equivalent internationally
