Low-Latency Software Developer (Rust)

Our client, a London-based technology company building crypto blockchain infrastructure systems, is seeking a Low‑Latency Software Developer (Rust) to join their performance engineering team. In this role, you'll focus on end-to-end latency optimisation across a high-throughput, always-on platform that interacts with blockchain networks and real-time markets.

To be successful, you'll bring hands-on experience writing high-performance Rust in production and ownership of critical end-to-end systems.

What You'll Do

    • Build and optimise low-latency Rust services powering blockchain connectivity, transaction workflows, and real-time execution/infrastructure components
    • Identify performance bottlenecks and reduce tail latency through profiling, tracing, and targeted refactoring
    • Build high-performance market-data and order-execution pipelines
    • Work with synchronization primitives, lock-free, low-contention, async
    • Collaborate with engineering team under time and latency constraints

What They're Looking For

  • 3-5 years of experience, preferably at an HFT or low-latency environment
  • Strong fundamentals of C++ and keen to learn Rust, or prior Rust experience
  • Experience owning systems in production and comfortable with high-ownership environments
  • Ability to clearly articulate performance trade-offs and strategically think about solutions

They have multiple headcount, so apply yourself and share with your network. Referrals are always welcome.
