Legal Counsel (12-Month Fixed-Term Contract) | Luxembourg

A leading international investment group is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its Luxembourg office on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a transactional lawyer with exposure to private equity, real estate, infrastructure and alternative investments.

The Opportunity

Working closely with investment and business teams, you will provide legal support across a broad range of corporate, transactional and regulatory matters. The role offers hands-on involvement in investment transactions, commercial agreements, governance matters and strategic legal projects within a fast-paced international organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the legal aspects of investment transactions across alternative asset classes, including private equity, real estate and infrastructure
  • Draft, review and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts and legal agreements
  • Advise internal stakeholders on legal, regulatory and governance matters
  • Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the business
  • Coordinate with external counsel across multiple jurisdictions
  • Provide practical, commercially focused legal advice to investment and operational teams
  • Assist with internal policies, approval processes and risk management initiatives
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects and wider business objectives

About You

  • Qualified lawyer with approximately 4+ years' post-qualification experience
  • Background in Corporate, Commercial, M&A or transactional law gained at a leading law firm
  • Exposure to investment-related transactions, particularly within private equity, real estate or infrastructure, would be highly desirable
  • Additional experience in investment funds, capital markets or banking & finance is advantageous
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to work directly with business stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational, project management and communication skills
  • Fluent English required; French and/or German would be beneficial
