Lead Business Analyst, Market Making

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Lead requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders to identify suitable solutions and ensure a thorough understanding of their needs.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and work closely with developers to deliver integrated solutions for Market Making systems and related in-house platforms.
  • Analyze system requirements for applications supporting the Warrant Market Making business, including Issuance Workflow and pre-/post-trade processes.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of functional requirements, design specifications, and user guides to comply with regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Perform comprehensive testing of new features and enhancements prior to deployment, ensuring all test results are properly documented for compliance purposes.
  • Coordinate with production support teams on release management and issue resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline (highly preferred).
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, ideally within Equity Derivatives and Market Making.
  • At least 3 years' experience in Warrant and Options Market Making, with strong knowledge of business operations, particularly across the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Hong Kong Derivatives Exchange, CCASS, and DCASS.
  • Solid understanding of options pricing and its lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with pre- and post-trade cycles, covering trading through settlement processes.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and other scripting languages.
  • Working knowledge of automated testing frameworks and industry best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese.
  • Professional project management capabilities.
