A growing international organisation is looking to hire an IT Support Engineer to join its global service desk team in Amsterdam. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is motivated, hands-on, and ready to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.
The Role
You will be part of a collaborative IT support function responsible for delivering high-quality technical support to internal users across multiple locations. The position sits within a structured service desk team, supporting end users with day-to-day IT needs while ensuring systems and assets are maintained effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support to internal users (hardware, software, and mobile devices)
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues via ticketing systems, email, and phone
- Manage and maintain IT assets and inventory (hardware/software tracking, provisioning, audits)
- Support onboarding/offboarding processes, including device setup and access management
- Assist with hardware/software upgrades and general IT maintenance tasks
- Classify, prioritise, and track incoming support requests to ensure timely resolution
- Collaborate with global IT teams to escalate and resolve more complex issues
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain clear communication with stakeholders
Your Profile
- 2-5 years of experience in an IT support / service desk role
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills across Windows environments and common business applications
- Experience with IT asset management or inventory tracking
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and ITIL-based support processes
- Relevant degree in IT or certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) are a plus
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and take ownership
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
