IT Auditor - Banking

Position: IT Auditor (all genders)
Location: Frankfurt am Main (hybrid)
Estimated Salary: 80.000€-110.000€* base
Employment: 39 hours/week, permanent position
Languages: German (C1+)
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver IT audit and consulting services focusing on operational IT security (e.g., access management, SIEM, vulnerability management, TLPT) and ICT risk management
- Conduct audits of IT processes, systems/applications, and projects from a risk perspective
- Analyze and assess IT-supported business processes and internal control systems for risks and compliance with internal/external requirements
- Perform data analyses to support audit findings
- Assist with supervisory inquiries (e.g., ECB, BaFin, CSSF, FMA) and external audits
- Contribute to development projects and special topics within internal audit
Profile Requirements
- The legal right to work and live in Germany without sponsorship
- Fluent in German (C1+)
- University degree or equivalent qualification in business, computer science, finance, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in IT audit, in financial services, insurance, or banking sector
- Strong knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., NIST, ICT-EBA Guidelines, ISO/IEC 27000, DORA, MaRisk) and auditing methods, or willingness to acquire them
- Practical experience with AI applications
- Structured, independent, and precise working style with excellent quality standards
- Ability to manage diverse audits and topics in parallel and assume responsibility
- Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, or Lead Auditor is an advantage
