Investment Banking Senior Associate - ECM
A leading global investment bank is seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate to join its Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team in New York. This role offers significant exposure to high-profile equity and equity-linked transactions, working closely with senior bankers, corporate clients, and institutional investors across a broad range of sectors.
Responsibilities
- Play a key role in executing equity financings, including IPOs, follow-on offerings, block trades, and convertible securities
- Lead preparation of marketing materials such as pitch decks, offering memoranda, and investor presentations
- Perform valuation analyses, market updates, and equity research-driven analyses to support transaction execution and origination
- Manage transaction processes, including coordination with internal teams (Investment Banking, Sales & Trading, Research, Legal, Compliance) and external advisors
- Act as a day-to-day point of contact for analysts, ensuring high-quality output and mentoring junior team members
- Support senior ECM bankers in client coverage and idea generation
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience in Equity Capital Markets, Investment Banking, or a closely related role
- Strong understanding of equity markets, capital raising processes, and transaction structuring
- Exceptional financial analysis, valuation, and modeling skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple live transactions in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
