An elite boutique investment bank is seeking Associates (Associate 1 - Associate 3) to join its Services Investment Banking team in Chicago. This is an opportunity to join a highly respected middle-market advisory platform, working alongside senior bankers on mergers & acquisitions and strategic advisory assignments for leading services companies, private equity sponsors, and corporate clients.
The team is experiencing strong transaction activity and is looking for professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and want increased responsibility, meaningful client exposure, and the opportunity to work on complex, high-impact transactions.
Responsibilities
- Execute live M&A and strategic advisory transactions across the services sector.
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and other transaction-related analytics.
- Prepare client presentations, pitch materials, management presentations, and board materials.
- Support due diligence efforts and coordinate with clients, investors, legal advisors, and other transaction stakeholders.
- Conduct industry and company research to support transaction execution and business development initiatives.
- Work closely with senior bankers throughout all phases of the deal process.
- Mentor analysts and contribute to the overall development of the team.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of investment banking experience.
- Strong M&A execution experience and advanced financial modeling capabilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced transaction environment.
- Experience preparing client-facing materials and managing transaction processes.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record.
