Investment Associate (USD Fund)

About the Firm
Our client is a leading USD private equity fund with a strong track record across Asia. The Shanghai office is expanding and is now looking for an Investment Associate to join the team. This role offers exposure to full‑cycle deal execution, portfolio value creation, and cross‑border transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct industry research, financial analysis, and valuation (DCF, LBO, trading/transaction comps).
Support end‑to‑end deal execution, including due diligence, internal memos, financial modeling, and investment committee materials.
Coordinate with external advisors (legal, financial, technical) and assist in managing deal timelines.
Build and maintain investment models for potential opportunities and portfolio monitoring.
Participate in investment thesis development and contribute to team discussions.
Support post‑investment value creation and portfolio management activities.
Qualifications
2-3 years of experience in buy-side (USD fund) or BB investment banking / M&A / Leveraged Finance.
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills; able to independently build and audit complex models.
Solid deal execution exposure, preferably including cross‑border or sector‑focused transactions.
Excellent communication skills; fluent in English and Mandarin.
Highly driven, detail‑oriented, and able to work in a fast‑paced, international environment.
Bachelor's degree or above from a top university; overseas education or experience is a plus.
