Investment Analyst/Associate, Venture Capital
A global alternative asset manager with a strong presence across the U.S. and internationally is seeking an Investment Analyst/Associate to join its venture investing team. The firm invests in early‑stage fintech and climate‑aligned companies, blending a macro‑informed perspective with deep, relationship‑driven sourcing across the U.S.
This is a high‑impact role within a lean, collaborative team where you will contribute to sourcing, diligence, underwriting, and portfolio support from day one. Candidates will be evaluated for Analyst (1-3 years) or Associate (4+ years) roles based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and engage with founders, investors, and ecosystem partners at events and through direct outreach.
- Manage and track deal flow using internal tools to maintain visibility across the pipeline.
- Conduct market research including competitive landscapes and thematic deep dives.
- Perform financial modeling and valuation analyses to support investment decisions.
- Collaborate closely with senior investors throughout the sourcing and underwriting process.
Ideal Candidate Profile:

- Graduates of selective institutions (e.g., Ivy League or top West Coast universities such as Stanford, UC Berkeley, UCLA, USC).
- Currently based in California (Los Angeles preferred).
- Experience at top investment banking platforms (Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan, Bank of America, Citi, Barclays, etc.).
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Requirements by Level:
ANALYST (1-3 years of experience)
Must‑Have:
- 1-3 years of investment banking experience.
- Bachelor's degree (MBA candidates are generally over‑leveled for this role).
- Strong financial modeling and quantitative skills.
- Interest in venture, fintech, or Latin America (VC experience not required).
Preferred
- West Coast ties or prior experience in California.
ASSOCIATE (4+ years of experience)
Must‑Have:
- 4+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Investment banking background strongly preferred.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skill set.
- Interest in venture, fintech, and/or Latin America.

- Exposure to venture capital, fintech, or LatAm markets.
