A leading global financial institution is seeking a talented High Yield Credit Salesperson to join its dynamic Fixed Income division. This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious sales professional to work directly with top‑tier European institutional accounts and play a key role in expanding the firm's High Yield footprint across the region.
The Role
As part of a fast‑paced, client‑focused team, you'll be responsible for driving business across a broad range of European HY credit products. You'll maintain and grow relationships with institutional clients-including asset managers, hedge funds, insurers, and pension funds-while collaborating closely with trading and research teams to deliver best‑in‑class market coverage.
This position is suited to someone with 2-7 years' experience in credit sales who thrives in a commercial environment and is motivated by the pace and energy of global markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of European institutional HY clients, developing deep, long-term relationships.
- Distribute high yield cash bonds, capital structures, and relevant credit opportunities across sectors and rating buckets.
- Work with trading to identify market colour, relative value ideas, and liquidity opportunities tailored to client mandates.
- Stay ahead of market developments-earnings, rating actions, macro themes-and communicate effectively with clients.
- Support new business initiatives, cross‑sell products, and contribute to broader team revenue goals.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, flows, and pipeline activity.
What We're Looking For
- 2-8 years of experience in High Yield / leveraged credit sales, trading assistant roles, or institutional client‑facing credit positions.
- Strong relationships or clear commercial potential with European institutional accounts.
- Solid understanding of HY credit markets, capital structures, and product nuances.
- Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and a client‑centric mindset.
- Highly driven, proactive, and comfortable operating in a competitive, performance‑driven environment.
- European language skills are advantageous but not essential.
