Fundamental Equities Analyst - Leading Asset Manager
A leading global investment manager is expanding its Active Equities platform and looking to add an Analyst to its New York investment team.
This is a fundamental investing role focused on deep company research and differentiated stock selection. The successful candidate will take ownership of research across their coverage universe, develop independent investment theses, and work closely with senior investors to identify compelling opportunities across public equities.
Key Responsibilities
- Own fundamental research across a defined group of companies and industries
- Develop detailed financial models, earnings forecasts, and valuation frameworks
- Build differentiated long-term investment theses supported by primary and secondary research
- Identify the key fundamental drivers, risks, catalysts, and variant perceptions behind investment ideas
- Pitch actionable investment recommendations to senior investors and portfolio managers
- Maintain ongoing coverage of portfolio companies and identify new investment opportunities
Ideal Background
- 3-8+ years of public-equities research or investing experience
- Experience within a long-only asset manager, fundamental hedge fund, or leading sell-side equity research team
- Excellent financial modeling, accounting, and valuation skills
- Strong stock-picking mindset and ability to think independently about businesses and industries
- Ability to communicate complex investment ideas clearly and concisely
- Strong intellectual curiosity and genuine passion for fundamental investing
- New York-based or willing to relocate
