Finance Manager - Leading Real Estate Investment Firm (APAC)
We are supporting a leading investment platform with the hire of a Finance Manager to join its South Korea office, working closely with senior finance leadership based in Hong Kong.
This role offers broad exposure across investment finance, fund reporting, treasury, and stakeholder management, with a strong interface across local and regional teams.
What does the role involve?
Reporting to the CFO and Senior Director of Finance in Hong Kong, the Finance Manager will play a key role in overseeing financial management and reporting activities for Korea‑based investments and structures.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing financial and tax due diligence and supporting investment structuring activities
- Supporting the Korea office across capital markets, investor communications, investments, and asset management matters
- Coordinating with external accounting firms and local asset managers to prepare accurate monthly financial statements
- Monitoring cash positions and financial performance of portfolio companies
- Managing financial reporting for offshore funds with Korean investors, as well as onshore and offshore project entities
- Overseeing annual audits, tax filings, and loan compliance
- Reviewing treasury processes and executing payments and disbursements
- Working closely with Hong Kong head office on onshore financing and liaising with local banks
- Supporting ad‑hoc finance and reporting requests from the regional finance team
What experience do you need?
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- CPA qualified and member of a recognised professional accounting body
- Exposure to real estate and/or private equity is strongly preferred
- Big 4 audit training is advantageous
- Strong technical knowledge of Korean GAAP and IFRS
- Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English
