Our client is a global financial market infrastructure provider. This role sits within the APAC finance team, supporting regional financial operations while contributing to global reporting and compliance efforts. It provides exposure to local statutory requirements and international financial standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Regional Financial Oversight:
Lead and manage the day-to-day financial operations for multiple entities across the Asia-Pacific region, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local and international standards.Core Accounting Functions:
Oversee essential accounting processes including Accounts Payable, General Ledger maintenance, and Fixed Asset management. Ensure proper documentation, classification, and reconciliation of financial data.Intercompany and Statutory Reporting:
Perform detailed account reconciliations, including complex intercompany transactions. Prepare statutory financial statements for APAC entities, including regional branches of multinational corporations, in accordance with local regulatory requirements.Month-End and Group Reporting:
Execute month-end closing activities, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial data. Contribute to consolidated group reporting across multiple levels, aligning with global timelines and standards.Special Projects and Ad Hoc Assignments:
Support specialized accounting initiatives, such as system migrations, process improvements, or technical accounting matters, as required by regional or global finance leadership.Tax Compliance and Reporting:
Assist in the preparation of deferred tax calculations and corporate income tax filings. Manage indirect tax obligations, including the preparation and submission of GST/VAT returns across jurisdictions.Audit Coordination:
Act as a key liaison for both internal stakeholders and external auditors. Facilitate audit processes by providing necessary documentation, explanations, and support to ensure smooth and timely completion.
