Finance Analyst - Japanese Energy Company (Singapore)

Japanese company is seeking a Finance Analyst to join our Finance & Administration Department at our Singapore office. This newly created role reflects our continued business growth and commitment to strengthening financial operations within a stable and well-established Japanese firm.
Finance Analyst will be responsible for management accounting, including budgeting, performance analysis, and reporting to senior management and our Japan headquarters. The role also covers tax compliance and incentive program management, such as applying for Singapore tax incentive schemes, maintaining transfer pricing documentation, and ensuring compliance with BEPS 2.0.
The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to ensure financial plans align with strategic goals, while contributing to process improvements and supporting cross-border initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead annual budgeting and coordinate with business units
- Conduct monthly/quarterly performance reviews and variance analysis
- Prepare management reports for internal and HQ stakeholders
- Manage Singapore tax incentive applications and transfer pricing documentation
- Ensure compliance with BEPS 2.0 and other tax regulationsSupport general finance-related tasks, including insurance matters
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in finance or accounting, with a focus on management accounting
- Strong analytical and reporting skills; proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Highly motivated, responsible, and collaborative
- Business-level Japanese is welcomed but not required
