Family Office Investment Analyst/Associate
We have partnered with a newly formed multi-family office, based in Hong Kong who are looking to expand their Investments team. The role of Investment Analyst shall assume the capacity of working in an exceptionally lean team and focusing on Public Equities and Fund of Fund investments globally. The firm approaches investing with a long biased approach, conducting bottom up, fundamental research. The analyst will support the founder and CIO, who has extensive institutional experience in both public and private markets; and a strong track record. They will have good access to leading buyside GPs and sellside research support.
Job Duties:
- Supporting pre-investment due diligence and post investment analysis for both Fund of Fund and direct public equities investments
- Conduct independent fundamental research and idea generation roles for a long term portfolio
- Involved in strategy and decision-making over time
Requirements:
- Strong drive to understand and capacity to learn things fast; high intellectual standard and intellectual honesty
- Intensity, thoroughness, persistence, a strong drive to constantly improve
- Long-term mindset and patience
- Comfort with being different, comfort with holding contrarian views based on first-hand and first-principle understanding
- 1-3 years in Investment Banking, no sector preference
- Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin) and English; Additional languages are a plus
- Strong analytical skills; fluency in basic financial analysis
