Our client is a leading technology-driven organisation seeking a Software Engineer to join a high-performance engineering team. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-performance software applications.
- Take ownership of projects throughout the full development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through to production deployment.
- Work within large, complex codebases, contributing to system enhancements, new functionality, and optimisation initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, business stakeholders, and other technical teams to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Balance performance, scalability, maintainability, and reliability when making engineering decisions.
- Participate in troubleshooting, debugging, and performance analysis of production systems.
- Contribute to a collaborative engineering culture focused on continuous improvement and technical excellence.
Requirements
- 2-10 years of commercial software engineering experience.
- Strong Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or related technical degree.
- Proven experience building and maintaining software within large-scale codebases.
- Track record of delivering high-performance, low-latency, or highly scalable systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Comfortable taking ownership and driving projects independently where required.
- Adaptable, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
