Corporate Development Associate

We are currently partnered with a leading Houston-based company looking to add a Corporate Development Associate to its growing team. This individual will work closely with senior leadership to evaluate and execute acquisitions, assess strategic growth opportunities, and help shape the company's long-term growth strategy.

With an active acquisition strategy and strong transaction pipeline, the team offers significant exposure to buy-side M&A, financial analysis, valuation, and corporate strategy. This is an excellent opportunity for an investment banking professional looking to transition into corporate development while gaining greater ownership of transactions and direct exposure to key decision-makers.

Corporate Development Associate Responsibilities

• Support the evaluation and execution of buy-side M&A transactions from initial assessment and diligence through signing and closing.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction scenarios to evaluate potential acquisitions.
• Prepare investment memos, presentations, and strategic analyses for senior leadership and executive decision-makers.
• Conduct in-depth industry, market, competitive, and company-specific research to support investment decisions.
• Identify, evaluate, and track potential acquisition targets and strategic growth opportunities.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors throughout the due diligence and transaction process.
• Partner with finance, operations, legal, and business unit leadership to assess potential transactions and support integration initiatives.
• Monitor industry trends and competitive dynamics to help inform the company's broader strategic planning efforts.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of Investment Banking experience required, preferably with exposure to M&A transactions.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities.
• Experience supporting live transactions and navigating due diligence processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, transaction-oriented environment.
