Job Title: Corporate Development Analyst
Location: McLean, VA
Position Summary:
We are currently partnered with a leading investment firm with investments focused on energy and natural resources, aerospace and defense, technology, and financial services. This firm is looking to add a Corporate Development Analyst to their team in McLean, Virginia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the end-to-end execution of M&A transactions, including target identification, valuation, due diligence, and integration planning.
- Conduct detailed financial modeling, scenario analysis, and valuation (DCF, precedent transactions, comparable company analysis).
- Prepare investment memoranda, board presentations, and other strategic materials for senior leadership.
- Perform market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Strategy, and Business Unit leaders to assess strategic initiatives.
- Maintain and update the pipeline of potential acquisition targets and strategic partnerships.
- Assist in post-merger integration efforts and performance tracking of acquired entities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or CFA a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in investment banking, M&A advisory, or corporate development.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases (e.g., Capital IQ, PitchBook)
