Collateral & Margin Services Analyst - Global FS
We are working with an established global financial institution looking to hire an APAC Collateral & Margin Services Analyst to join its Margin Management team in Singapore.
This role sits close to the daily margining process, with a focus on Global Netting Agreement margin operations across APAC. The successful candidate will support collateral management activities, issue resolution, controls, reporting, and stakeholder coordination across the bank. The platform is also going through strategic and regulatory transformation across its Prime Brokerage and GNA infrastructure, so this is a strong opportunity for someone who wants exposure beyond BAU processing.
This would suit someone with hands-on experience in collateral management, margin operations, prime brokerage operations, derivatives operations, securities financing, or a related middle office / operations environment.
Responsibilities for the APAC Collateral & Margin Services Analyst:
- Support daily margin operations for APAC clients, including margin processing, review, reporting, issue resolution, and escalation.
- Manage collateral-related workflows, ensuring margining activity is completed accurately and within required timelines.
- Work closely with internal teams across operations, risk, legal, front office, technology, and other business areas to align and improve operational processes.
- Identify areas for improvement across collateral and margin processes, with a focus on operational efficiency, risk mitigation, and stronger controls.
- Support the implementation of new operational procedures, controls, and policies relating to risk and regulatory change.
- Prepare reports and updates on operational performance, control matters, and process improvement initiatives for internal stakeholders.
- Participate in transformation and change initiatives relating to Prime Brokerage, Global Netting Agreement infrastructure, and broader margin management processes.
- Act as a key contact point for internal stakeholders, helping resolve issues and support the wider margin management function.
Requirements for the APAC Collateral & Margin Services Analyst:
- Prior experience in collateral management, margin operations, prime brokerage operations, OTC derivatives operations, securities financing, clearing, or a related banking operations function.
- Strong understanding of margining, collateral lifecycle processes, operational controls, reconciliations, and issue resolution.
- Comfortable working with internal stakeholders across multiple functions, including operations, risk, legal, front office, technology, and senior stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to make sound judgements based on factual analysis and operational precedent.
- Experience contributing to process improvement, regulatory change, transformation, or control enhancement initiatives would be advantageous.
- Ability to take ownership of daily processing outcomes, escalate breaches or issues appropriately, and support the embedding of new procedures.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain operational issues clearly and work effectively with teams across the bank.
- Suitable for someone who enjoys a mix of BAU margin operations, risk and controls, stakeholder management, and change-related work.
