Selby Jennings is partnering with a leading global placement agent to identify a senior distribution professional focused on Southern Europe.
Selby Jennings is seeking an experienced European Distribution Director to lead fundraising and investor engagement efforts across Spain and Italy. The successful candidate will be responsible for marketing private market fund offerings including private equity, real estate, private credit, and infrastructure to institutional investors, while also supporting broader European business development initiatives. This role can be based in either London or Madrid.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive fundraising efforts and promote fund offerings to institutional investors in Spain and Italy.
- Collaborate with internal teams and fund managers to coordinate roadshows and investor meetings.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Limited Partners (LPs), General Partners (GPs), and the broader institutional investment community.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with fund managers.
- Maintain and communicate deep market insights across private markets to internal stakeholders.
- Support the European and UK distribution strategy in alignment with global fundraising goals.
Candidate Profile
- Significant experience in financial services, with a proven track record of raising capital from institutional investors.
- In-depth understanding of private market strategies and investor dynamics.
- Must have excellent knowledge of Italian or Spanish, in addition to English.
- Established network of GPs and LPs across Europe.
- Demonstrated ability to execute a structured and persistent sales strategy.
- High energy, ethical, and results-driven professional with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently while contributing effectively to a team environment.
