A leading global alternative investment manager is seeking an Associate to join its growing Private Credit team in London. This is an opportunity to join one of the market's most established credit investors, working across complex direct lending and private credit transactions alongside a highly experienced investment team. The platform manages significant capital across a broad range of credit strategies and has built a strong reputation for providing flexible financing solutions to private equity sponsors and corporates.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be involved throughout the investment lifecycle, from screening opportunities and conducting due diligence through to execution, portfolio monitoring, and value creation initiatives.
Responsibilities will include:
- Financial analysis and modelling of private credit transactions
- Assessing sponsor-backed and non-sponsored lending opportunities
- Performing detailed credit due diligence and risk analysis
- Preparing investment committee materials and recommendations
- Supporting transaction execution and documentation processes
- Monitoring portfolio company performance and covenant compliance
- Engaging directly with management teams, sponsors, advisors, and lenders
Candidate Profile:
- 2-5 years of relevant experience within Private Credit, Leveraged Finance, Acquisition Finance, Direct Lending, Investment Banking or Credit Investing
- Strong financial modelling and credit analysis capabilities
- Experience evaluating leveraged transactions and debt structures
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment
- Strong commercial judgement and investment mindset
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
