Associate, Investment Risk
A large Insurance Firm with a leading investment management arm is looking to expand their risk team in Boston. The Risk management team is looking to bring on an investment risk associate to assist in conducting risk analysis, enhancing models, monitoring the market and its risk factors, and improving risk frameworks across the firm.
The ideal candidate will have 3 - 8 years of experience at an asset management investment firm, with a degree in Computational Finance, Economics, or Technical Field. Having an additional master's degree would be ideal.
Responsibilities:
- Enhancing and maintaining risk management frameworks by improving risk models, analytics and tools that support the firm's risk oversight.
- Monitor global markets by identifying emerging risk, and implementing industry, and regulatory insights into developments in investment decision making.
- Deliver portfolio risk reporting including monthly and quarterly reviews while handling ad hock risk analysis across asset classes such as equities, fixed income, real estate/real assets, and alternatives.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Computational Finance, Economics, or technical field.
- Programming experience with Python, Excel, VBA, SQL and comfortable using AI.
- Well versed in a wide range of investment products, from equities and bonds to real assets and alternatives, with a clear understanding of how each contributes to overall portfolio risk.
- The ability to communicate effectively across cross functional teams and professionals.
