Job Opportunity: Actuarial Associate, Cash Flow Testing
Position Summary: A leading actuarial team is seeking an Associate to join their Boston, MA office.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in quarterly Cash Flow Testing for the onshore life and annuity business, ensuring timely and accurate preparation, validation, and delivery of results.
- Develop, update, and maintain controls for the Cash Flow Testing process.
- Collaborate with the modeling team to implement changes reflecting new regulatory requirements or business needs into Cash Flow Testing models.
- Validate and review the impacts of model and assumption changes.
- Work with valuation actuaries to understand statutory reserves and liability assumptions, performing independent reviews of inputs and outputs.
- Execute timely production of asset in-force files and related controls around asset listings and projections.
- Participate in year-end statutory filings, constructing actuarial memorandums and other regulatory submissions.
- Support the Appointed Actuary and other actuarial leadership in evaluating and determining actuarial accounting policies and methodologies for new and existing products.
- Assist with internal and external audit functions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or related fields.
- FSA with over four years of experience in the life/annuity insurance industry.
- Direct experience with statutory valuation and actuarial modeling.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with large data sets is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ownership, adaptability, and self-motivation.
