Asset Manager, Commercial Real Estate
Position Summary
The Commercial Real Estate Asset Manager will be responsible for the strategic oversight and performance optimization of a diversified portfolio of real estate assets, including office, industrial, retail, multifamily, and mixed-use properties. This role is central to driving value creation through proactive asset management, development initiatives, and close collaboration with internal teams across investments, strategy, and dispositions.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Oversight:
Manage the full lifecycle of assets from acquisition through disposition, ensuring alignment with investment objectives and business plans.Value Creation & Development:
Identify and execute value-add opportunities including redevelopment, repositioning, lease-up strategies, and capital improvements.Financial Performance:
Monitor and analyze asset performance, prepare and present detailed financial reports, budgets, and forecasts. Drive NOI growth and maximize returns.Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner closely with Investments, Strategy, and Dispositions teams to inform underwriting, refine business plans, and support exit strategies.Leasing & Operations:
Oversee third-party property managers and leasing agents to ensure operational excellence, tenant satisfaction, and optimal occupancy levels.Capital Planning:
Develop and manage capital expenditure plans, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.Market Intelligence:
Stay abreast of market trends, competitive positioning, and regulatory changes to inform strategic decisions.Stakeholder Communication:
Prepare and deliver presentations to internal leadership, joint venture partners, and investors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, or related field; MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience in commercial real estate asset management across multiple property types.
- Proven track record of driving asset performance and executing value-add strategies.
- Strong financial acumen and proficiency in real estate financial modeling.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and entrepreneurial environment.
