Asset Management Analyst
Our client is seeking a full-time, motivated, and ambitious individual to join our team as an Analyst. Candidates will be responsible for mitigating risks and maximizing property values on existing portfolio investments.
The ideal candidate will spend a majority of the time communicating with borrowers, analyzing financial information, reviewing legal documents, and completing thorough reports on outstanding assets. Each candidate should be an independent self-starter with a strong analytical background, exemplary organizational and multitasking skills, excellent attention to detail, and effective verbal/written communications skills. Compensation is competitive, based upon the candidate's experience level and will include a discretionary, performance-based bonus.
Typical Responsibilities
- Monitor progress of borrowers' business plans, including financial or technical covenants
- Serve as the point of contact for borrowers and vendors on loans
- Review legal documents and draft legal notices for loan investments
- Analyze property financials and construction progress against baselines
- Coordinate with the servicing department to ensure timely payments
- Work with outside counsel to enforce loan documents and covenants
- Evaluate and author reports on existing investments in the portfolio
- Interact with consultants to monitor assets and perform site inspections on investments
Desired Skills & Experience
- 1-3 years of project management experience with the ability to perform several tasks concurrently with poise and professionalism
- Real estate, asset management, or construction management experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Outstanding ability to effectively articulate complex concepts both verbally and in writing
- Comfortable with a changing, fast-paced environment, with the ability to learn new processes and improve on existing processes
- Mathematical proficiency to review and maintain construction/improvement budgets, analyze financial information for properties, and complete reports for outstanding investments
- Bachelor's degree required, Finance, Engineering, or Real Estate focus preferred
- Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new technologies quickly
