Senior Business Analyst, Investment Platforms

About the Opportunity

A growing financial services organization is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to partner with both business and technology teams on strategic initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of operations, technology, and investment-related functions, helping drive process improvements, system enhancements, and data-focused projects across the organization.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels, gathering and documenting requirements, evaluating complex business challenges, and translating needs into scalable technology solutions. This person will also play a key role in supporting business-critical applications and helping ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business, system, and data-related requirements.
• Evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities for operational and technology improvements.
• Develop solution recommendations and support the implementation of strategic initiatives.
• Coordinate and participate in testing activities, ensuring issues are identified, tracked, and resolved.
• Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams throughout project lifecycles.
• Monitor project progress, communicate status updates, and escalate risks when necessary.
• Support business-critical applications and workflows through troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Foster strong relationships across departments and proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency through technology.
• Help define and improve processes, workflows, and reporting capabilities.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience working within financial services, asset management, investment operations, or a related industry.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience creating business requirements, process documentation, workflows, and functional specifications.
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies, including Agile practices and the broader SDLC.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently evaluate alternatives and recommend solutions.
• Experience collaborating with distributed teams across multiple regions and time zones.
• Exposure to data analysis and reporting technologies such as SQL, cloud data platforms, or enterprise application technologies.
• Comfortable working with cross-functional teams supporting technology-driven business transformation efforts.
