Analyst - Asset-Backed Finance Valuations & Opinions

A global advisory firm is seeking Analysts to join its rapidly growing Valuations & Opinions Group. This role is ideal for individuals with strong analytical and interpersonal abilities who are motivated to develop professionally and contribute to building a leading valuations practice.
The Analyst serves as a key analytical and organizational contributor to the team. The role offers a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment with opportunities for self-motivated individuals to take ownership and contribute meaningfully.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and ensure the accuracy of financial models and complex valuation analyses
- Draft valuation reports and client presentations
- Conduct valuation and analysis of various financial assets, including:
- Consumer and mortgage loans
- Student loans
- Structured finance securities (e.g., RMBS, CMBS, CLO, ABS)
- Develop and maintain valuation models for complex financial instruments, including privately issued structured securities
- Coordinate recurring valuation projects across geographically distributed teams
- Interact with clients and assist in preparing deliverables
- Maintain internal valuation databases
- Monitor capital markets and analyze relevant trends and developments
- Support business development efforts through preparation of marketing materials
- Assist senior team members with research, analysis, and execution
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field from a highly regarded institution
- Strong academic performance (preferred GPA of 3.5 or higher)
- 6 months to 2 years of experience in structured products (preferred)
- At least 1 year of professional experience in valuations, corporate finance, fixed income, or accounting (preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and Microsoft Excel
- Strong written communication skills; proficiency in PowerPoint and Word
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and client-facing communication abilities
