VP/Director, Private Credit Product Specialist
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Vice President or Director to join a credit focused hedge fund's client services team. This role blends product specialist responsibilities with institutional account management, serving as a primary point of contact for institutional investors across the firm's private credit strategies. The ideal candidate will have deep product knowledge, strong relationship management skills, and a proven ability to communicate complex investment concepts to sophisticated audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Institutional Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for institutional investors, including pensions, endowments, foundations, and consultants.
- Manage ongoing client communications, ensuring timely delivery of portfolio updates, performance reporting, and strategic insights.
- Product Specialist Functions
- Act as an internal and external subject matter expert for the firm's private credit strategies.
- Partner with investment teams to translate portfolio positioning, performance drivers, and market outlook into client-ready materials.
- Fundraising & Business Development Support
- Collaborate with senior leadership on capital formation initiatives for private credit products.
- Participate in investor meetings, due diligence sessions, and consultant presentations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with investment, operations, and compliance teams to ensure a seamless client experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- 8-12 years of experience in investor relations, product specialist, or institutional client management roles within alternative asset management.
- Private credit product expertise required; familiarity with structured credit, direct lending, or opportunistic credit strategies strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage complex institutional relationships and deliver exceptional client
