Our client provides specialized coverage, risk management, and advisory services tailored to churches, dioceses, schools, and other religious institutions.

The Vice President of Client Services serves as the Agency's senior client-facing leader and marketing executive for the region. This role is responsible for building, growing, and retaining strong client relationships, with a particular focus on large and complex accounts with sophisticated risk management and insurance needs. Acting as a trusted advisor, the VP partners directly with clients to design and deliver customized, forward-thinking risk management and insurance programs. This position blends consultative selling, strategic leadership, and hands-on client service to drive customer satisfaction, retention, premium growth, and profitability.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for all regional clients, particularly large or complex accounts.
  • Develop, recommend, and execute short- and long-term regional strategies and revenue/expense plans aligned with sales, service quality, and profitability goals.
  • Identify client risk management and insurance needs and deliver timely, creative, high-value solutions using a consultative, value-based approach.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships by meeting with all key accounts at least annually.
  • Consistently achieve challenging annual goals for customer satisfaction, retention, premium growth, and profitability.
  • Systematically develop new business opportunities and acquire new clients through consultative selling.
  • Lead and direct one or more Field Assistants who support client counseling, sales, and service efforts.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality oral and written presentations on risk management and insurance topics to individuals and groups of up to 50 people.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of underwriting guidelines and concerns across all product partners to ensure transparency, alignment, and "win-win" relationships.
  • Innovate new approaches to better serve national market segments and share best practices with other Vice Presidents across the organization.
  • Represent the Agency at vestry meetings, diocesan conventions, seminars, and other events to discuss insurance offerings and risk management solutions.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Professional insurance or risk management designations (e.g., CPCU, ARM) preferred; continued professional development strongly encouraged.
  • Solid understanding of insurance products, services, policies, terminology, and procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proven track record of identifying issues, resolving discrepancies, and delivering timely outcomes.
  • Familiarity with religious institutions is preferred but not required.
  • Strong insurance and risk management expertise with the ability to apply knowledge creatively to client needs.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with accuracy, diplomacy, and sound judgment.
  • Demonstrated success working in a customer-focused, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and lead support staff located remotely.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively in the Mid-Atlantic region (approx. 50%).

Education & Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in a field-structured, client-facing role acting as a liaison between clients and insurance providers preferred.
  • Commercial Lines Property & Casualty experience strongly desired, particularly in underwriting, risk management, marketing, and/or claims.
  • Active state resident and non-resident insurance licenses, or ability to obtain required licenses within an agreed time frame.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
