A leading investment management firm is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, HR Technology to help drive the technical strategy, architecture, and delivery of HR, people operations, and workforce analytics systems. This role will partner closely with HR and Technology stakeholders to build scalable solutions that support employee data, reporting, compliance, and operational decision-making across the organization.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with strong backend and data engineering experience who can translate complex business requirements into secure, scalable applications and data platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable applications and data solutions using Python or Java.
- Architect and develop integrations across HR, people operations, and enterprise systems.
- Design and optimize data models, pipelines, and reporting solutions.
- Develop and maintain APIs and middleware applications.
- Partner with HR, Talent, and business stakeholders to deliver technology solutions supporting workforce planning, employee lifecycle management, compensation, and organizational reporting.
- Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance across sensitive employee data.
- Contribute to system architecture, design, and engineering best practices while remaining hands-on with development.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of software engineering experience.
- Strong experience with Python (preferred) or Java.
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
- Strong experience with Snowflake and data modeling.
- Experience integrating multiple systems and designing scalable data solutions.
- Experience building reporting, analytics, or data-driven applications.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership in a lean, high-impact environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HR Technology, People Systems, or workforce analytics platforms.
- Experience with Power BI or dashboard development.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Familiarity with HRIS, ATS, or employee data platforms.
Compensation Base salary: $150,000 - $185,000, plus bonus and comprehensive benefits.
