About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Technical Accounting to lead financial compliance and reporting for complex multi-entity structures, including management service organizations (MSOs) and joint ventures. This role is ideal for a CPA with deep GAAP expertise and a passion for driving accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration across finance, legal, and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure financial statements and records comply with partnership and operating agreements.
- Oversee equity accounting for MSOs and joint ventures, including ownership tracking and K-1 preparation.
- Coordinate with external tax professionals for timely tax compliance.
- Partner with legal teams to align financial practices with contractual obligations.
- Assess VIE status and apply ASC 810 for proper consolidation and reporting.
- Lead financial statement preparation and manage external audits.
- Identify process improvements to enhance scalability and efficiency.
- Support strategic initiatives, new ventures, and complex transactions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
- Experience:
- 8+ years progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in technical accounting.
- 3+ years in management; healthcare experience preferred.
- Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong GAAP expertise, equity accounting, and audit coordination.
- ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
