Selby Jennings have partnered with a global global insurance carrier, currently seeking a Senior Group Life and Disability Underwriter within their European team out in Luxembourg.
As a Senior Group Life and Disability Underwriter, you'll deliver exceptional underwriting service and help drive profitable growth. You will assess, price, and accept group life and disability risks, ensuring compliance with governance standards and underwriting authorities. Your expertise will strengthen relationships with brokers, customers.
What You'll Do
- Assess, price, and accept group life and disability risks.
- Ensure adherence to governance structures, underwriting manuals, and quality assurance processes.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams
- Support Distribution to achieve growth and profitability objectives.
- Represent underwriting externally with brokers and customers.
- Provide proactive support to other functions as needed.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years' insurance experience, ideally in pricing and underwriting, with 3-5 years in Dutch Group Life and Disability insurance (less experienced candidates welcome; title may adjust).
- Degree in Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive team player, fluent in Dutch and English; other European languages are a plus.
- Proficient in MS Excel and comfortable with digital tools.
